Who is a Class Member?
“Owners of mechanically distributed and/or reproduced rights in (a) Qualifying Registered Works that were played on Rhapsody music between March 7, 2013 and March 21, 2019 and/or (b) Qualifying Unregistered Works that were not registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Plaintiffs also allege, that Rhapsody has infringed their exclusive rights to reproduce and distribute their musical works by streaming them without voluntary or compulsory licenses. They allege both actual and statutory damages pursuant to the Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §101, sections 502 through 506 and 509.
How much will class members get paid!?
According to the settlement documents, class members will receive up to $35 for each validly claimed Qualifying Registered Work OR $1 for each validly claimed Qualifying Unregistered Work that was played more than 24 times.
